Govt to investigate where huge amount drawn in name of Javed Hashmi has gone: Nisar

ISLAMABAD, Sept 25 (Online): Interior minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan said in National Assembly (NA) government would trace out where 5 million rupees which were drawn from national kitty in the name of treatment of Javed Hashmi during previous regime have gone.
Nisar said that huge loss to the tune of million of rupees was caused to national coffers during the previous PPP led government through Prime Minister secret funds, discretionary funds and Earth quake .
PTI central leader Javed Hashmi said he had got imposed ban on treatment of members of parliament in foreign countries during previous Nawaz regime. Million of rupees had been swallowed by defying this ban during previous government therefore, the matter be investigated, he demanded.
“Where 5 million rupees have gone which were drawn from national exchequer in my name. Tell the nation about it as it was hard earned money of the people. I had talked to interior minister in this regard but no word has come from government side so farâ€, Javed Hashmi said this on a point of order. .
Nisar said matter related to Rs 5 million has become a mystery. However this is clear that the amount had not come in the account of Javed Hashmi. “I was told that amount was drawn in the name of specific persons and this amount was obtained from discretionary funds, earth quake and secret funds but their record has not become available so far. However these funds were drawn from PM funds.
“We will get investigate this matter through FIA and identify as to where this money has goneâ€, he announced.
