No negligence to be accepted in upcoming anti-polio campaign

QUETTA: The Deputy Commissioner Pishin, Abdul Wahid Kakar has stated that no negligence would be tolerated in the forthcoming polio immunization campaign in the district.
He was chairing a meeting regarding arrangements for the vital campaign in the district.
The District Health Officer, Dr. Naseebullah Tareen and other concerned officials were in attendance at the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner said that polio is a big issue for the country, therefore, we have to strive for its eradication.
He said that no one would be allowed to demonstrate careless attitude towards the campaign. We have to ensure immunization of each and every child below five years of age, he stressed.
He said that a polio affected child affects others within the area of one kilometer, so it is essential for us to immunize them against the disease.
Loralai arrangemnes:
The necessary arrangements made for the forthcoming polio immunization campaign in Loralai were reviewed during a meeting.
Deputy Commissioner Loralai, Shah Zaib Kakar presided over the meeting.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Sher Shah Ghilzai, Assistant Commissioner Duki, Habibur Rehman Kakar, District Health Officer, Dr. Nasarullah Ghilzai, DSP Noor Ahmed, Medical Superintendent of Divisional Headquarter Hospital Loralai and other concerned were also present.
While the Deputy Commissioner stressed the need to make effective measures for the immunization campaign all over the district, the DHO briefed the meeting about the arrangements and target of the campaign.
He said that there is a target to immunize 72,391 children in 21 union councils of the Loralai district.
The anti-polio staff would also remain present at the fixed and transit points of the district, he maintained.
He directed to the concerned authorities and staff to focus on the parents refusing the administration of anti-polio vaccine to their children.
