One woman killed 56 persons injured, 6.9 magnitude earth quake hits parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD/ LAHORE/ PESHAWAR, December 26 (Online): At lease one woman was killed and 56 persons were injured in Peshawar after an earthquake measuring 6.9 on Richter Scale struck various parts of Pakistan on early Saturday morning.
In Peshawar one woman was killed and 56 persons including 7 women were injured due to land sliding . Wall of a house collapsed near lady reading hospital but no loss to life has been reported.
According to US Geological Survey the epicenter of the quake was located near the Tajikistan-Afghanistan border region at the depth of 197 kilometre.
