QUETTA Jan 19 (PPI): Balochistan governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said Pakistan and Australia have old and balanced relations and they want to strengthen cooperation in Defence and other sectors further.
This he stated while speaking to Australian Army Chief alt General Angus Campbell and Australian Deputy High Commissioner who called on him at Governor House here Tuesday.
Governor highlighted vast opportunities in different sectors particularly two way cooperation in the context of China Pakistan Economic Corridor. He said that CPEC is part of one road one belt project and on its implementation there will be not only prosperity in Pakistan and Balochistan but a new era of progress and prosperity would usher in Central Asia and entire world. Completion of these project would develop peace and order in t he region which is foremost for economic development.
Chef of Australian Army expressed keen interest in investment in different sectors particularly education, health, agriculture and said livestock sector in Balochistan has special interest for Australia. He said for sheep and their products Australia can extend special cooperation. He also offered establishing wool industry in Balochistan.
Governor thanked guests for their interest in investment and said that Australia specifically can help and cooperate in our livestock and agriculture sectors and positive suggestions form Australia and its representatives would b e welcomed.
