Raid in PIB Colony, 16 held

KARACHI Sept 26 (Online): At least 16 people were arrested during a targeted police operation conducted overnight in the metropolis area of Ghausia Colony on Thursday.
The raid was conducted in search for miscreants involved in Wednesday’s smoke attack at Karachi Central Jail. The attack took place at a time when an important investigation team was making fresh interrogations with the miscreants involved in Justice Maqbool Baqir attack case.
The Rangers troops launched raids at hotels and inns located around Cantt Stations in search for the suspected people; however, no arrest was confirmed.
Meantime, a criminal, Shaukat alias Cheema was arrested from Lyari on revelations made by Lyari gang-war character, Shiraz Comrade.
