Iranian Consul General meets Speaker BA

QEUTTA Jan 21 (PPI): Iranian consul General based at Quetta Syed Hussain Yahyavi called on Speaker Balochistan Assembly Ms Rahila Durrani at assembly chamber here Thursday.
Durign the meeting he said after end of sanctions on Iran there are possibilities of raise in two way trade to 5 billion dollars per annum.
Expressing hope increase in gas, electricity and petroleum products and two way trade he said that Balochistan and Iran universities have signed MoUs therefore there is need for taking steps in this regard so that departments of languages and others should be setup at these universities.
Referring to visit of Governor Sistan Balochistan Ali Osat Hashmi Iranian Consul General informed Speaker of arrival of women parliamentary delegation headed by Rahila Durrani to Iran. Governor Sistan while expressing pleasure for hosting women parliamentarians delegation has directed that women parliamentarians delegation and women from other departments should visit Pakistan particularly Balochistan so that problems of women and their uplift and welfare soudl be discussed.
Iranian Consul General said women are posted at important posts in Iran and they have fully participated in coming expert parliament elections.
He said Pakistan leadership efforts about recent Iran, Saudi Arabia tension are good sign and visit of Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif and his team to Saudi Arabia and Iran under present situation is good sign.
He also termed election of Rahila Durrani as Speaker Balochistan Assembly a good sign.
Speaker Durrani said that being Consul General Services of Hussain Yahyavi for increasing relations between Iran and Pakistan are laudable. Iran and Pakistan are neighbouring countries and there is need to increase cooperation in all sectors.
