QMC determined to bring improvement in state of city affairs: Mayor

QUETTA: Mayor of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC), Dr. Kalimullah Kakar has stated that the Corporation is determined to bring improvement in the civic affairs of the metropolis. In this regard, certain measures are being taken, the Mayor maintained while talking to the Director General Quetta Development Authority (QDA), Noor Ahmed Pirkani here the other day.
The Deputy Mayor of QMC, Muhammad Younas Baloch and officers of the QMC and QDA were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kalimullah said that the action is continued against encroachments without any discrimination in different parts of the city. The crackdown against the encroachments would remain continued until and unless the same are removed from the city, he asserted.
He said that it is his desire to provide the civic facilities to the citizens remaining in our limited resources. The work is also continued to expand the city under the planning, he maintained.
It is also our endeavor to provide the basic civic facilities at their doorstep, he said. With expansion of the city, the issue of traffic would be resolved, he added. The people would be saved from the inconvenience of coming to the main city as well.
The Director General QDA, Noor Ahmed Pirkani on the occasion assured to the Mayor of QMC that the QDA would extend wholehearted cooperation to the QMC for restoration of beauty of the city.
