Delegation of female councilors meets Speaker BA

QUETTA: A delegation of the female councilors of Quetta led by the Deputy Mayor, Muhammad Younas Baloch called on the Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani here the other day.
During the meeting, the matters pertaining to the issues and rights of the women came up for discussion. The issues being faced by the councilors were also discussed on the occasion. Particularly, the issue related to the provision of funds to the women councilors was discussed.
Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker said that women have the backbone status in the society. She said that if every thing is done on merit and that honestly, and women may perform with dedication, no one could stop Pakistan from progressing ahead, maintaining she believed.
The nations could change their fate with high courage and untiring hard work, she said. We have to move ahead and show wonderful performance in every sector so as to achieve the goal of development, she stressed further.
The Speaker on the occasion insisted that development is just impossible without wholehearted participation of women in the process.
She said that it is good that the female councilors are working for the cause of solution of the civic issues.
She assured that she would raise voice for issues and rights of the womenfolk at every forum.
