Govt. brought financial and administrative discipline: Governor

QUETTA: The present government has brought administrative and financial discipline, however, still more steps are needed to ensure the good governance.
This was stressed by the Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai while talking to the Speaker, Provincial Assembly, Miss Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, who called on him, at the Governor House the other day.
The Governor on the occasion said that the people happen to be the real rulers in the democratic societies. The elected representatives and the civil servants are answerable to the people, adding he stressed, so the general will should be superior to all other things.
Muhammad Khan Achakzai also stressed the need to establish discipline in the financial matters and administrative affairs to ensure provision of the basic facilities to the masses.
It would also ensure welfare of the masses, he added. The Governor insisted that the good governance could be maintained by providing necessary facilities to the people and ensuring transparency in development process.
The confidence of people in government writ and democratic process could be strengthened through their active participation in the development process including government affairs, the Governor observed.
While on the other hand, it is necessary to enhance capacity of the civil officers and other servants and promote the spirit of public service, adding he stressed.
