PM briefed on Karachi law and order situation

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was briefed on the overall law and order situation in the Province at a meeting held upon his arrival at Karachi, on Friday.
The meeting was attended by Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ibad, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, DG Rangers Sindh Maj. General Bilal Akbar, Chief Secretary Sindh Mr Siddique Memon, and IG Sindh Mr Ghulam Haider Gilani.
Minister for Information Senator Pervez Rashid was also present during the meeting. The Prime Minister noted with satisfaction that peace in Karachi has been largely restored and the city of Karachi is fast regaining its past glory.
The Prime Minister lauded the role of Law Enforcement Agencies in securing peace in Karachi and paid tributes to those who sacrificed their precious lives for the sake of peace in Karachi.
The Karachi operation was started after reaching a consensus among all the stakeholders, said the Prime Minister. This operation will reach its logical conclusion, further added the Prime Minister.
It is necessary that the job of Karachi operation is taken to its logical end and terrorism and lawlessness is completely wiped out, concluded the Prime Minister.
