Young doctors close OPDs

Young doctors closed outpatients Departments of government hospitals here Friday against torture of their colleagues here Thursday.
Doctors took out a rally from civil hospital here today which reached in front of Press Club. Speakers in their ultimatum tot eh government said if Deputy Commissioner was not suspended within 24 hours they would hold full fledged protest.
According to details Young Doctors Association had taken out a rally here yesterday in support of their demands. Police baton charged, tear gassed it and resorted to aerial firing in which several doctors were injured. Dozens were also taken into custody.
Young doctors announced strike at all the government hospitals and closed OPDs there. It caused serious difficulties to the patients particularly poor who arrived form far slung areas for treatment.
Doctors also took out a rally which reached in front of Press Club.
Addressing the protestors Chairman Young doctors Association Hafeez Mandokhel and others said that administration at the behest of DC resorted to firing and baton charge on our peaceful rally here yesterday. Our several doctors were injured who were shifted to Karachi for treatment. This is open terrorism and inaptness. Our rally was peaceful and we want to record our protest in front of provincial assembly.
We strongly condemn this incident and our protest at all the government hospitals was continuing. We have also closed OPDs. We want to make it clear upon the government if Dc was not suspended within 24 hours and action taken against concerned administration we would resort to tough protest.
