India committed 29 gross violations of LoC in 2012, 59 in 2013: NA told

ISLAMABAD, Sept 27 (Online): National Assembly (NA) was told Friday that India committed grave violations of Line of Control (LoC) 24 times during 2012 and 59 times in 2013 and 10 soldiers and 8 civilians were martyred in these violations.

This was told by state minister for parliamentary affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad while replying to the question from Sheikh Rashid Ahmad MNA during question hour.

To a question from Dr Azra Palejo, Sheikh Aftab told the house meeting between heads of state of Pakistan and India has to take place and it is hoped this will bring about improvement in the bilateral ties between the two countries.

Minister for Kashmir Affairs Barjis Tahir told the house that port Qasim issue would be resolved and LNG Policy-2011 is being implemented. An agreement has been reached with Qatar in connection with LNG.

The house was told that the present government has not issued any license so far for exploration of gas and oil.

Replying to a question from Najaf Abbas Sial, Sheikh Aftab Ahmad told the house 82 percent construction work on bridge over river Chenab at Garh Maharaja has been completed. The project will be completed by 2013.

The house was also told 4 CNG stations are operating in Azad Kashmir, 22 in Balochistan, 590 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 122 in Islamabad, 2099 in Punjab and 617 in Sindh.

Sheikh Aftab also told the house that government was exploring oil reserves inside the sea in the country.
