Balochistan quake: Aftershock of magnitude 5 hits Awaran

QUETTA, Sept 27 (ONline): An aftershock of the Balochistan earthquake registering magnitude 5 was felt in the Awaran district on Friday.
The epicenter of the quake was in Ormara and its depth was around 10 kilometers.
The current death toll of the 7.7-manitude earthquake that hit Balochistan on September 24 stands at 357 with over 600 people injured.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) revealed that a total of ten Army helicopters and 1200 troops were involved in relief and rescue activities in the quake-affected regions of Balochistan.
Ten Pakistan Army helicopters were participating in rescue operations. 17 sorties were flown to affected areas and as many as 500 wounded were evacuated/treated from different areas of Mushkey and Awaran.
Tremors were felt on Tuesday as far away as New Delhi and even Dubai in the Gulf, while people in Ahmedabad, India, ran into the streets in panic.
