Peaceful environment vital to accelerate business activities: AIG

ISLAMABAD, Sept 27 (APP): Business community is playing a vital role in
promoting the local economy and Islamabad Police will take every possible measure to address all problems of businessmen.
It was stated by the Assistant Inspector General of Police (Operations)
Islamabad Sultan Azam Temuri while speaking with business community at Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).
Temuri said that business community has always played their positive
role for restoration of peace in the city. He said peaceful environment is essential to accelerate business activities in the city. In this connection, he said measures are being taken to upgrade Islamabad police and community policing is being encouraged, which help resolve general issues. He thanked business community for their cooperation and hoped for further extending it.
He said elaborate security arrangements have been made in Islamabad in
collaboration with business community. Following the vision of Minister for Interior Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, he said Islamabad police is taking every possible step to ensure friendly police ecology in the city.
Temuri said that Islamabad police have the main objective to secure
the city and all possible efforts would be made to achieve it.
He said Human Right Officers are being appointed in police stations who
would report to police heads in case of any violation. Mobile verification system has been introduced to immediately check the records of suspects and vehicles at pickets and other important points of the city.
AIG (Operations) said that six new reporting rooms have been set up in
various police stations of Islamabad which would be equipped with modern technology. He said that reception officer would be appointed there for immediate redressal of public complaints.
President ICCI Zafar Bakhtawari said that business community of
Islamabad pays tribute to the Policeman who has sacrificed their lives to provide the security to the people. He said that police is doing tremendous job to maintain peace in the city.
He said that Islamabad Police with great skills and efficiency has been
performing their duties to maintain law and orders in Federal area.
President ICCI also appreciated the efforts and brave act of Islamabad
police especially SP Muhammad Ilyas and Inspector Rahat in safely recovering a businessman Mr. Muhammad Yousaf without paying ransom amount.
He also lauded Islamabad Traffic Police in maintaining exemplary traffic
system in the city and assured that cooperation between Islamabad police and business community will enhance in coming days.
