Terror attack bid on Kakul military academy foiled

Abbottabad, Oct 1 (Online): Police on Tuesday raided a house in Abbottabad’s suburb area and arrested two terrorists with huge cache of heavy arms, official said.
DIG Akhtar Hayat said, raid was carried out on tip-off at Mangal village near Abbottabad which is world known city of Khyber Pakhtonkhaw province for Al-Qaeda chief Bin Laden’s hideout.
Police official said Qari Arshad, commander of banned terror outfit and his companion were arrested while recovering huge cache of arms, explosives and other arms from their possession.
Remote control devices, detonators, local-made bombs, cylinder filled with explosives, rockets, suicide jackets and hundreds of rounds were recovered, DIG Akhtar Hayat added.
One police officer was wounded in firing of terrorists during the raid, DIG said adding six other suspects were also arrested.
DIG Akhtar Hayat said terrorists were plotting attack on Kakul military academy, country’s largest and sensitive military academy.
