LAHORE, Oct 04 (Online): Executive Committee of Punjab Bar Council (PBC) Lahore has directed SHO Civil Lines to register a case against Muhammad Arshad Rana, advocate, on account of misconduct.

The PBC had suspended the license to practice as a lawyer of Mr. Rana but despite the suspension of the license, he continued appearing in courts.

Registrar Lahore High Court on receipt of a circular in this regard from PBC has forwarded the same to the concerned judicial quarters throughout the Punjab as well as IT Wing of LHC with direction to enter this information in computerized record of the concerned advocates so that the said advocate may not be able to appear in any court of law in future.

Mrs. Ishrat Aara, Advocate and Muhammad Saeed alongwith a large number of people have moved PBC against the said lawyer for misconduct.

The said advocate had also filed more than hundred applications in the PBC, which were dismissed, as they were found baseless and unfounded.

The PBC in its decision had termed the advocate habitual in filling false and frivolous petitions against innocent persons as well as legal fraternity in order to blackmail and extort money.

PBC had warned the said advocate several times to be careful and behave like an advocate but all in vain.

He is also accused of misbehaving with lady lawyers in Kasur and creating a scene in the premises of PBC.
